Building your HTML Document > Anchors <A..>...</A>

Now we give an anchor destination name using <a> tag, so that a link can be given to the letter "e" from within the HTML document or from any other URL or file.

The preview of the page is shown here. You can see the effect of the text formatting in the page and how it is displayed. The background color is "bisque". The <pre> tags usage is also clear.

  Lists and Links

In this Exercise you will know how to create lists and to give link to a page.

We have added the basic HTML tags. Then, we started a new list with the numbering style of "I" (the numbering is done by upper case roman method).

The next step is to start the first item of the list with <li> tag (this tag is used to start an item in an ordered or an unordered lists). We have given strong emphasis to the list item "body".

We can nest a list inside a list. Here, we have nested a new list, which numbers the items with "arabic" numbering system.
