The Effects option of the layers palette
provides some excellent highlights and shadowing effects that
can be applied to all types of layers. The real highlight
in this feature is that, even after the effects have been
applied to a layer, everything put on the layer has the effect
applied to it.
The setting for the effect can be adjusted
at any time and effects can be added or removed at any point
of time and can still be applicable to everything in the layer.
A layer with effects contains a special
"f" symbol as shown here.
Photoshop effects include six effects
namely, Drop Shadow, Inner Shadow,
Outer Glow, Inner Glow, Bevel & Emboss and
Color Fill.
Select Layer
1.
Right click on Layer
1.
Select
Effects.
Click on OK.
You will find that Drop
shadow effect would have been
applied to layer1.
