Double click the Work-Path in the Paths palette. The Rename Path dialog box appears.

Name the path as "curved path", in the dialog window that appears. Click OK.

  Paths

In this module we will cover the following topics

Converting points
Converting paths to selections
Painting paths
Converting selections to paths

  Convert-Direction-Point

Sometimes, we may want to change a corner point to a curve or vice versa. The convert-direction-point tool is used to make the adjustment. To convert a corner to a curve, we drag on the anchor point and to convert a curve to a corner point, we just click on the anchor point.

  Converting Paths in to Selections

We can convert paths to selections. With their smooth outlines, paths let us make precise selections.

With the Pen Tool highlighted, select on the area to be selected. The area is selected.

  Painting Paths

Painting paths adds pixels that appear when we print an image. Painting is done by either stroking or filling. Stroking paints color along the path and filling paints a closed path with color, an image or a pattern. Before painting we have to make sure that the path is selected.
