Advanced Techniques > Creating Special Effects

Change the Intensity as required.

Click OK.

The image appears as shown.

  Smooth Drop Shadow Effects

The other way to give the shadow effects to the text is by just duplicating the text layer and then giving the effects or changing the color. One more simple way of doing it is to give effects to the text directly. To do this, first type the text in the picture. The text layer gets created. With the focus on this layer, right click to view the options. Choose the Effects option. In the Effects dialog box that appears, select the Drop Shadow effect and change the Distance and Intensity as required. Distance specifies the shadow distance, i.e. the extent to which the shadow should cast.
