 Basic Photoshop Working > Getting To Know The Work Area

  Viewing Images

There are different methods of viewing an image.

  Using the Zoom tool

Select the tool from the toolbox and position it over an image and click. The view is enlarged. To reduce the view, press Alt key and click the mouse

  Using the View menu

The menu item, Zoom In enlarges the display of the image. The menu item Zoom Out reduces the view of the image.

In this exercise we will learn how to magnify an image using the View menu. Let us make use of Image1 created already for this purpose.

Click on the View menu.

Select Zoom In from the drop-down menu and notice the enlarged view.

Click on the View menu.

Select Zoom Out from the drop-down menu and notice the image brought back to its original view. Note that to view the exact size of an image, press Alt+Ctrl+0.
