Color Management > Introduction To Color Management

In this session, we shall learn how to apply colors, how to choose color modes, how to adjust colors and how to make sure that you are using the right colors for individual projects.

  Color Mode

Color Mode is a way of describing colors. RGB color mode is based on RGB color model that relies on mixing different values of Red, Green and Blue to create most of the colors in the spectrum. Indexed color mode is specifically developed for images that appear on web pages and other computer-based multimedia.

  Color Channels

Channels stores information about color elements in the image. There are various types of channels to manipulate with the colors used in the image. Color Channels are used to store the color information for an image. Alpha channels stores masks that allows editing specific parts of an image. The spot color channel lets you specify color separations for painting an image with spot color inks.
