Let us try out the Pencil tool by adding lines to the artwork and closing up the cactus to make it easier to select.

In the toolbox, click the Default Colors icon to return the foreground and background colors to their defaults - black and white, respectively.

Click the Pencil Tool (N) in the toolbox to select it.

In the Brushes palette, select a small brush from the top row.

Drag with the Pencil Tool to close the bottom of the cactus. Draw another line for the horizon. Make the horizon line appear behind the cactus, running from the left side of the drawing to the base of the mountains.
