  Cropping an Image

Cropping is the process of cutting or trimming an image to perfection before completing an artwork.

An image can be cropped using any of the methods listed.

The Crop tool from the toolbox can be selected.
The shortcut keys Shift and or just "c" of the keyboard can be pressed.
The Crop command from the Image menu can be selected after selecting the area to be cropped. It is important to note that the area to be cropped should be a perfect rectangle or square.

Let us chop the rectangular belly of the image shown on the screen. For this, we will make use of the Crop command. We have to make a selection first.

Click on the Magic Wand Tool from the toolbox.

Click the left mouse button inside the blue Rectangle.

Select Crop from the drop-down menu.

Observe the chopped rectangular belly of the image.
